Global Illumination Editor
gile[s] is a global illumination / radiosity lightmapper, capable of rendering high resolution lightmaps fast and efficiently.
gile[s] features an easy to use editor, that allows you to place models and lights without fuss.
Unlike most lightmappers gile[s] handles models of arbitrary complexity keeping smoothing groups intact. With gile[s] you can even paint directly to the lightmap, and mix and match vertex lighting and lightmaps as you please. gile[s] lights up your worlds.

Lights
- Omni, with adjustable attenuation
- Spot, with adjustable attenuation and cone
- Directional, with adjustable attenuation and radial falloff
- Ambient, with adjustable attenuation
- Sky Light, simulating atmospheric light (only available when rendering full GI)
- Change lights between modes easily
Materials
- Switch between lightmaps, vertex lighting, or no lighting methods
- Adjust how the material affects the lighting, including receive light from back, cast shadows, receive shadows, affect global illumination, receive global illumination
- Alpha, Additive and Multiply blending
- Shininess, Alpha, and Self Illumination
- Up to 7 texture layers
- Load, swap, and apply textures easily, a wealth of texture options are available
